North Cobb High School is located in the northern metropolitan area of Atlanta, serving nearly 3000 students. North Cobb houses the largest Career Technology Education department in the Cobb County School District. One of the award-winning pathway programs, Architectural and Drawing Design is taught by Michael Barcarse with 23 years teaching experience, 13 of those years at North Cobb. The ADD Program is currently Industry Certified by the DOE and CEFGA providing students with the opportunity to continue their studies straight to work or towards post secondary technical training or degree programs. Students also have an opportunity to prepare for the workforce through the support of co-curricular Career Technical Student Organizations such as SkillsUSA. Many students have represented the ADD program as competitors and leaders accomplishing numerous community service activities and winning contests at the regional, state, and national levels.
