What percentage of students obtain employment or continue their education in architectural drawing & design within 1 year after completing your program? 46% sampling of students over the last two years plan to obtain employment or continue education in architectural & design or related occupation within a year after completing my program. Only through correspondence and social media, have I been able to account for at least one year of tracking after completing my program.

I use a learning management system called Schoology to deliver and record learning taken place in my classes. I have included a screen shots of an informal survey question "Learning Expectations," and sample responses in their own words. Within a year after completing my program and graduating high school, roughly five out of ten students go to college or trade school to major in architecture, construction or engineering. One out of ten students get a related job right out of high school. This is based based on how many students have kept in touch with me through correspondence and social media.

Standard 1.2 Are employers surveyed on a regular basis (at least annually) to determine training needs of their potential employees? Documentation of the survey, and results, of potential employers’ training needs (no older than 1 school year) should be on file. (Examples of documentation: survey instruments, notes from telephone interviews or plant visits)
Yes, communication via email or phone conversations, directly from employer/human resources, information gathered from counseling and their conversations with employment sources. Job postings are provided by Trade Associations such as CEFGA.
Standard 1.3 The written description and goals of the program should be stated in advertising and recruiting literature supplied to potential students and must include admission requirements, employment potential, area(s) of training offered, and requirements for completion of the program.
Displays and flyers are prepared for NCHS open house events which typically occur 2-3 times a year. Rising 9th graders, parents and other community members get to hear about my CTE programs and other activities like my drafting program and SkillsUSA.
